““Two Words: BOOK...HER.

Not only does Erika Lynne know exactly what’s she’s doing as an MUA, but she’s an absolute joy to work with.

She especially lifted my heart during my recent photo shoot with the wonderful Karissa Van Tassel. Erika was so intent upon bringing out my best self, as opposed to piling on tons of color and crazy contour, and creating an entirely different, totally unrecognizable image. She never once made me feel like she had to “fix me” (as some MUAs have done to me in the past). I can’t tell you how much her respect for me affected my confidence. She also caught me when I was feeling insecure, and refused to let me get down on myself for any reason.
During a quick break in shooting, I caught a glimpse of myself in the ladies’ room mirror. In that stark white space, under all that truth-telling natural sunlight, I saw ME AS BEAUTIFUL, not some beautiful stranger. That was a huge moment for me. Erika’s application of product was spot-on, never garish or restricting truthful facial expression. Perfect foundation color based on my true undertones (a RARE achievement). Eye colors that made my brown eyes sparkle. Lip colors that brought out the “pure diva” in me.

On top of that, WE HAD SO MUCH FUN. What a team!

As much as I’d like to keep her all to myself, Erika is the kind of professional colleague and creative spirit that invigorates any creative experience. She loves what she does, and that love permeates spaces - as well as our faces!
